Individuals and organizations have their own way of contributing to society. Be it by donating money, providing resources or volunteering. The intention is to do their bit for society and give back in some or the other way. Because no business big or small is built without the help of society.
BrownBrella is a premium home bakery studio based in Delhi where we bake each dessert keeping our customer’s health in mind. But it’s not just the health that we care about. Our vision for society is to see its social, economical, and environmental development.
BrownBrella joins hands with Taleem
Taleem Social Progressive Society (Taleem) is an NGO that provides education to underprivileged children to make them employable and empowers them to lead a good and independent life. The word “Taleem” literally translates to Education in Urdu and was founded by a group of academicians, teachers and enthusiastic youth in 2012. Mr Saurabh Asthana, popularly known as “Taleem sir” among the kids, works around the clock to provide the children with quality education and healthy meals.
We learned about the Taleem Society at the beginning of 2022 and visited them to meet the children. We were so touched by the dedication of the NGO and the zeal of the students to study and make a difference in society. We wanted all the children of Taleem Society to relish BrownBrella’s healthy desserts. Hence, we celebrated Holi and BrownBrella’s 2nd work anniversary this year and had a good time with them. Spending time with the kids allowed us to learn about their struggles and the problems they face from their families and society. Their stories moved our hearts and we decided to do something for them.
Brownbrella will train the students free of cost who seek vocational training in the art of baking and give the top performers a chance to work with us once they complete their training. While we will give preference to other students as well seeking jobs for our upcoming staff requirements. We are committed to helping the students of Taleem in all aspects to ensure their prosperous future.
Also, to help the mission and vision of Taleem society, BrownBrella is committed to facilitate the education of the underprivileged by contributing 10% of the sales of BrownBrella from August 2022, towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
BrownBrella’s association with Taleem is just the beginning. We wish to help and give back to society in other ways in the future. Like we said before, it’s not just the health we care about. We care about the overall development of society.
